Denise Wheeler

Denise Wheeler TenEyck, age 72, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Joy Doran; sister, Carol Doran; mother-in-law, Theresa Ann TenEyck. Denise will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael TenEyck; daughter, Erica and Shawn Auger; grandchildren, Matthew and Micah; stepchildren, Michael TenEyck II, Rachael and Martin Crampton; brothers and sisters, Melvin Doran, Brad and Cami Doran, Michelle Doran and Dane Waters; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jean Boomgaard, John and Ginger TenEyck, Dee and Fred Heemstra, Marlene and Ed Schuman, Mary Maddox, Dennis and Paula TenEyck, Greg and Norma TenEyck, Catherine Otto and Pete Valentine. Denise had a big heart for others. She could be sassy but was very compassionate and had empathy for others. She was generous with her time and money, especially for children. Denise was an avid Detroit Lions fan every year no matter the team’s record. Her greatest joy came from being with her family and she will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Faith Hospice.
