Joanne “Jo” Dorothy Ilbrink

Joanne “Jo” Dorothy (Kortenhoven) Ilbrink, age 82, of Grandville, went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, January 3, 2016.  Joanne was a Christian school teacher in the Chicago and Grand Rapids area. She was executive director of Calvinettes (G.E.M.S.) for twenty years and volunteered in many ministries including her church and Crossroads Bible Institute. Joanne also led several women’s Bible studies. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Robert "Bob" Ilbrink; children, Faye and Richard Dykema, Ronald and Jane Ilbrink, Richard and Kari Ilbrink; 9 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; sister, Elaine Bardolph, Evelyn Langereis, Mary and Bob Brummel, Lois and John Stob, Deb Kortenhoven; brother, Robert and Sandy Kortenhoven; brothers-in law and sister-in-law, Margaret Warners, Harold Ilbrink, and Marvin Ilbrink; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11 AM at Ivanrest Church, 3777 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, with Rev. Tony Meyer officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW.
