Joanne Elaine Arnoys

Joanne Arnoys, age 83, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Joanne was a teacher at Hudsonville Christian School. She loved to serve others and volunteered regularly at her church. She was very involved in her grandchildren's activities, and she gave of her talents selflessly. In her free time, she loved to travel, read, and spend time with friends and family. 

She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Arnoys; siblings, John Nyenhuis, Jeanne Kragt-Berchinger, Wilma Schnyders, Betty Tymes, Majorie Haines; sister-in-law, Beth VanSolkema; brother-in-law, Gordon Arnoys.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rob and Dawn Arnoys, Eric Arnoys and Anne LaGrand, Marc and Angela Arnoys; 5 grandchildren, Travis, Noah, Jake, Natalie, and Beatrice; siblings, Jack and Lee Nyenhuis, Ron and Carole Nyenhuis, Lynn and Dave Setsma, Ken and Bev Nyenhuis; brothers-in-law, Marlan and Alida Arnoys, Marge Arnoys; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, September 14 at LaGrave Ave Church, 107 LaGrave Ave SE, GR 49503. Burial will be held at Blain Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday, September 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.
