Jill Rau

Jill Alysa Rau, age 58, of Wyoming, MI passed away at home with loved ones near on May 6, 2026. She was born in Traverse City, MI, and spent a majority of her adult life in a city that she loved - Grand Rapids, MI. 

Jill will be forever remembered by the countless people that she impacted. She was well known for being a kind and caring person. Her soft voice and infectious laughter will continue to live in the hearts, souls, and minds of all those who were fortunate enough to meet and know Jill.

Jill is survived by her husband, James Alan Rau, along with their nine children, 15 grandchildren, her four siblings, and her father-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, granddaughter Haily, and her mother-in-law.

Jill had an undeniable faith in God that never wavered and she acknowledged Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She had an amazing soul and uplifted many people throughout her life. She will be forever remembered, loved, and cherished.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Chapel Pointe Byron Center, 6252 Burlingame Ave. SW. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in Jill’s name to Wellspring Lutheran Services Kentwood Family Services, 1715 Sutherland Dr. SE, Kentwood, MI  49508.
