Jewell VanderWeide (Gritter)

Jewell VanderWeide (Gritter) age 97, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman; daughter, Judith Vredeveld; grandson, Sean Thomas. Jewell is survived by her children: Diane Thomas, Doug (Patti) VanderWeide; son-in-law, Clare Vredeveld; 8 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim Tubergen, Thelma VanderWeide, Marilyn VanderWeide, Russell (Barb) VanderWeide as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 11:00 am at Raybrook Manor Chapel, 2121 Raybrook, SE, Grand Rapids.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, July 15 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids and 10-11 am Thursday at Raybrook Manor Chapel.
