Jessie L. (Jarvis) Tomac, age 85, of Cheboygan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Anne’s Home in Grand Rapids, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, on Thursday, December 31, 2015. She was born to Fred Wilfred and Anna (Trudeau) Jarvis on March 16, 1930. Jessie retired from the United States Postal Service after 21 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Tomac-Campogan; sisters, Berneda Berden, Dora White; brothers, Earl Jarvis, Paul Jarvis. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, William Joseph Tomac; children, Karen and Edward Neumann, David and Tamara Tomac, Carol and Mark Sielawa, Gary Tomac, Todd Tomac; grandchildren, Jason and Julie Neumann, Josh and Keri Neumann, Ryan and Lyn Campogan, Zachary Campogan, Hailey, Colin, and Aubrey Tomac; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary and James Wabegijik, Helen Merchant; sister-in-law, Candace Jarvis; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. At Jessie’s request cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at St Francis Cemetery in Cheboygan at a later date.
