
Jerome R. Snyder, age 74, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jerome attended Catholic Central High School and earned his Associates Degree in mathematics at Grand Rapids Junior College. He proudly served in the U.S. Army overseas during the Vietnam War. Jerome performed his technical training to earn his journeyman’s license in Tool & Die engineering and retired from Steelcase. He had an artistic talent in oil painting, sculpting, and he enjoyed woodworking. He also had a habit of tinkering with objects and taking things apart. He was a proud member of AA and felt it was a way for him to help people in need. Jerome was proud of his girls and loved his family. He will be greatly missed for his laugh and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Patricia Snyder; brother, Damian (Sue) Snyder; granddaughter, Estella Vorce. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Rebecca Kleinedler, Sara Snyder, Ellen Brogan; grandchildren, Samantha Snyder, Rachel Kleinedler, Alexander Kleinedler, Connor Kleinedler, Eleazar “Azar” Brogan, Zephorah “Zephie” Brogan, Naphtali “Tilly” Brogan; great-grandchildren, Addison Snyder, Skylar Martinez; niece, Maryann (Snyder) Allen; nephews, Matthew Snyder, Joseph Snyder. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 24 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming with Pastor Keith Bergquist officiating. Burial will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family for a memorial gathering prior to the service from 10-11am at the funeral home.
