
Jennifer Sue Gilmore, age 56, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on October 22, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed spending time doing fun things and trying new foods with her family. Jen was known for her attention to detail and her caring nature. A patient and compassionate listener, she was deeply devoted to her family. Jen homeschooled her children and before they were born taught early childhood education, finding great joy in nurturing and teaching young minds. She was a devout Christian who loved serving her church and sharing her faith through her actions and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amelia Joy Gilmore; and her mother-in-law, Laura Gilmore. Jen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, David Gilmore; children, Nathaniel Gilmore, Anastasia Gilmore, Nina Gilmore; parents, Mark and Susan Perlick; brother, Mark John Perlick; father-in-law, Daniel Gilmore Jr.; siblings-in-law, Daniel Gilmore III and Joy Piccolo, Douglas and Erin Gilmore, Dana and Marianne Gilmore; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 27, at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 930 52nd St. SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dale Van Dyke officiating. Per Jen’s request, please wear bright colors to the service as we celebrate her joy in being in the arms of Jesus. A private family graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 26, from 3-5 p.m. at MKD Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Harvest OPC or The Conductive Learning Center of North America.
