Jeffrey Patrick Longstreet

Jeffrey Patrick Longstreet, age 33, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Walker, Michigan. He was born on March 28, 1985, in Grandville, Michigan, where he attended Calvin Christian High School. Jeff enjoyed, boating, fishing and hunting with a special love for snowmobiling. Jeff was a faithful friend and family member. With his soft and loving heart, he could always be counted on to help his friends in times of need. He believed in the promise of God he learned as a child and is now without pain and rejoicing with Jesus. Jeff is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Tom Rodenhouse; sisters, Monica (PJ) Sullivan and Jennifer Longstreet (Andrew Baird); brother, Gordon D. Longstreet and special friend, Taylor Knapp; grandparents, Gordon J. and Barbara Longstreet; aunts and uncles, Gwen Longstreet, Roberta “Bobbi” (Dennis) Hahn, and Daniel (Lonna) Ondersma; special friends, Jennifer and Taylor Jones; and many other friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in his death by his father, Gordon L. Longstreet; uncle, David S. Longstreet; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Hilda Ondersma; and paternal great grandparents, Gerrit and Lillian VandeByl. A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11:50 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
