Jean Marie Alvesteffer, age 90, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 7, 2024. She grew up in Walkerville, Michigan, the daughter of Guy and Gertrude Williams. After high school she moved to Muskegon and took classes at a local college to become a secretary. Jean worked for Norge Corporation and later at C&O Railroad. She met Harold, fell in love, and they were married on October 16, 1954. Since she was an only child, she loved marrying into Harold’s large family with all the gatherings that came with that. They started a family and Jean was a stay-at-home mom. Jean was very involved in church and her faith and family were her passions. She loved sports, especially basketball since she played in high school. Jean enjoyed attending as many activities as she could for her kids and grandkids. After her kids were older, Jean worked at the Grand Rapids Auto Auction for 27 years where she loved delivering cars. She is survived by her husband, Harold Alvesteffer; children, Terry (Sandy) Alvesteffer, Scott (Ellen) Alvesteffer, Rick (Mary) Alvesteffer, Tammy (Jim) De Haan, and Tracy (Kurt) Honderd; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marge Cory and Leola Alvesteffer; brother-in-law, Allen Alvesteffer; and many nieces and nephews.
