Jean Cisler

Jean Cisler, age 86, of Grandville was called to her heavenly home, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Jean loved to knit and through that love she met many of her closest friends. Her favorite thing to do was to support new parents by knitting them baby blankets. Jean also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Whether it was a cruise with her fellow teachers or travelling across the U.S. with her sisters, she loved getting to see the world that God created. She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Cisler, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Stan Sidock; and her cousin, Claude Cisler. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Cheryl Cisler; sister-in-law, Sylvia Cisler; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Tom VanderPloeg officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Middleville, MI. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday, an hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to Fellowship Christian Reformed Church.
