Jay Scholten

Jay Scholten, age 91, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by his five siblings. Jay will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Elsa; children, Nancy (Rick) Tigchon, Carol (Ron) Tjepkema, Ken (Darlene) Scholten, Joan (Dwight) Lutke, Jan (Karl) Kuzee; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Lois (Jim) Scholma, Martha Riemersma; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, at Twelfth Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 7581 12th Avenue, Jenison, with Rev. Rick Tigchon officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, April 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
