Jay J. Veenstra

Jay J. Veenstra, age 84, of Jenison, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, and went home to be with his Lord. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Griffioen. Jay will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Ira J. (Mary) Veenstra, Helen Veenstra, June Van Den Top, Clara (Gerald) Van Den Top, Hazel Besselsen, Merle (Kay) Veenstra; several nieces and nephews. Jay proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He was employed for many years at Bissell, Inc. Jay was a member of Bethel United Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Steve Postma officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
