Jay Boone

Jay Boone, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 30, 2016. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Little Rock during WWII.  He worked for Velting Construction for many years.   Jay also faithfully served as an elder for about 40 years at Southwest Protestant Reformed Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma.  Surviving are his children, Dan and Jennie Boone, Randy and Shelly Boone, Doug and Francine Boone, Kimberly and Rich Bronkema; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Russell and Margaret Boone, Donna Hoven, Viola and Hezard DeJong; brothers-in-law, Richard Kamminga, Bernie and Henrietta Kamminga; sisters-in-law, Ruth Kamminga, Margaret Offringa, Trudy Kamminga. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 7:00 pm at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, 7194 20^th Ave. Jenison, MI  49428 with Rev. Clay Spronk officiating. Friends and relatives may meet the family 1 hour prior at the church.   Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Adams Christian School.
