Janis Kay Erskine

Janis Kay Erskine of Caledonia, age 68, passed away suddenly surrounded by her family on Friday, October 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Fedor. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Daniel; children, Shawn and Steve Landstra, Nicole Erskine, Seth and Amanda Erskine; grandchildren, Colin (Andrea), Hayley, Carly and Katelyn; great grandchildren, Owen and Madison; brother, Jim Fedor; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was a long time employee of the Caledonia Community Schools in food services. She loved to spend her free time floating in the pool, spending time with her amazing grandkids, and an occasional trip to the casino. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 24, at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St., Caledonia, with Pastor Rick VanderWall officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 4-7 pm, and on Thursday from 10-11 am. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to either the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
