Janice Marian Berkenpas

Janice Marian Berkenpas, age 89, of Grandville, passed away, after a brief illness, on Friday, December 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Leonard Berkenpas; brothers, Dennis Verburg, Edward Verburg, Gordy Verburg, Harold Verburg; and sisters, Doris Nordstrom, Irene Aardema, Louise Verburg.  She is survived by her children, Ronald Berkenpas, Michael Berkenpas, Barb (Rick) Capizzi; stepson, Paul Berkenpas; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bea Verburg, Wilma Berkenpas; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11 AM at  Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating.  Entombment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
