
Janet VandenBosch, age 89, of Byron Center, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She proudly worked for many years at GEMS Girls Club and after retirement, dedicated over 20 years to helping others through disaster relief work with CRWRC (now World Renew). Jan was a talented seamstress and also took great joy in knitting and quilting, especially creating cherished quilts for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, T. Lee VandenBosch; brother, Dan Gronsman; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Gronsman.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marijo and Matthew Snyder, Linda and Ed Maring, Sandy and Rick Frampton, Jayne and Shannon Werner, Tom and Joni VandenBosch; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl and Sandy Gronsman, Jerry Gronsman; sister-in-law, Ruth Gronsman; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, at MKD Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dan Kinnas officiating. The burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Friendship Christian Reformed Church Youth Ministries.
