Janet Snyder

Janet Marie Snyder, age 82, of Allendale, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Jan was born to Peter and Ida Wallinga and grew up in Coopersville. She attended Butterworth School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for many years. She was a very creative individual, most known for quilting. Jan also loved traveling and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Don Wallinga. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Carroll Snyder; children, Brent and Lisa Snyder, Carlyn and Chris Galante, Michelle Mowat, Kara and Dan Kensinger; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Bev and Gordy Stroven, Dave and Pauline Wallinga, Carol and Ron Riemersma; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mel and Dorothy Snyder, Ray and Luella Snyder; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, at MKD Funeral Home, 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Pastor Rick Weesner officiating. The burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, October 8, from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
