
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the homegoing of Jane McIntyre, age 77, who entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 4, 2023. She will be forever cherished for her boundless love, many hours of volunteer work, creative talents, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend with a giving heart full of generosity and loyalty. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd McIntyre. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ted McIntyre; two daughters, Cathie Wielhouwer, and Elizabeth (David) MacDonald; grandchildren, David (Ashley) Wielhouwer, Olivia (Mike) Boone, Ellie, Thad, and Hannah McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Creed, Mylah, and Shaelyn Jane Boone; brothers and sisters; aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Her love story with her husband, Ted, spanned 57+ years, and was marked by many work projects and memorable travels, with Hilton Head Island being their favorite destination. There, she enjoyed precious moments walking the beach with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends who occasionally joined her.
A memorial service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St. SW, Byron Center. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 5-8 pm on Friday, October 13 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and from 10-11 am on Saturday prior to the service at the church. As we mourn the homegoing of Jane, may we find comfort in the beautiful memories we made and her shared love and kindness that we will forever hold in our hearts.
