
James “Jim” William Burton, age 61, of Wyoming, went to his heavenly home on Monday, July 24, 2023. He was a 1979 graduate of Rogers High School and entered the United States Navy. Upon returning from the Navy in 1982, he met his wife, Anna. Jim’s family was most important to him. He enjoyed any time spent with family whether outside, grilling, or making Sunday morning breakfasts. His kids were his pride and joy and he never missed attending any of their school events, sporting games, or scouts. Jim was a hard worker and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and handy skills with his family. He worked at Amerikam as a machinist for over 35 years. He will be remembered for his homemade fudge of every flavor. Jim will especially be missed for his generosity, kindness, goofy personality and big heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia Burton and siblings: Dale Burton, Gerri Burton, Brenda Reed. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Anna; children: Joseph (Kayla) Burton, Kelley (Joe) Wathen, Christina (Christopher) Lucchese; granddaughters: Molly and Maggie; siblings: Tom Burton, Kim Stewart, Deb McDonald; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and Jim’s family will hold a celebration of life service at a later time. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. John Vianney Church.
