James Sparbel

James “Jim” Sparbel, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 17, 2025. Jim was a loving brother, uncle, and friend, whose quiet kindness and steady presence will be deeply missed. He was an avid University of Michigan football fan and rarely missed a game. Jim had a lifelong love for animals and especially enjoyed the companionship of his cats and dogs. He also appreciated learning and could often be found watching the History Channel. Jim loved spending time outdoors, with fishing being one of his favorites. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Deanna Sparbel. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Melissa Sparbel; nephews, Robert Duthler, Garrett Duthler. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society.
