James K. Buer

On Wednesday, April 15 at the age of 82, Jim passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus. Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who dearly loved and supported his family. He found his greatest joy in being a grandpa and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. His love, steady presence and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to miss him are his beloved wife of 60 years, Carolyn (Dykstra); children, Debi Buer, Jim and Timarie Buer, Nicole and Keith Helzer; his treasured grandchildren, Rylee and Scott, Carson and Carlee, Faith and Forrest, Ethan and Kellie, Wyatt and Aubrey, Tripp, Bradi, Hayden and Leah. He is also survived by his brother, Phil and Kay Buer; sister, Nancee and Jack Willemsen; brothers-in-law, Jack Knoper, Russell and Donna Dykstra; sisters-in-law, Joan Buer, Linda, Harriet, Barb and Sheila Dykstra; several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private celebration of Jim’s life at a later date.
