James Lavern Brunsink, age 52, of Hudsonville, received complete healing in the presence of his Savior the morning of Tuesday, September 26. He passed away surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 30 years, Jennifer; their children, Nathan (Mikayla), Kaitlyn, and Nolan; his father, Ron (Bonnie) Brunsink; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mark and Sheryl Rinks; his brother, Steve Brunsink; his sister-in-law, Sheryl Brunsink-Buist; his brother-in-law, Troy Rinks; his lifelong friend, Ted Simmons; and many loving nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jaime was greeted in heaven by his son, Caleb; his mother, Judy; and his brother, Mark. Jaime held steadfast in his faith over the course of his life, despite the challenges he endured. He lived his life to the fullest, always putting his everything into each new chapter of life. As a builder, he used his many talents and skills and never let a project go unfinished. As an auto enthusiast, he could fix any car and outrace anyone on a snowmobile. As a teacher, he devoted many years into educating future generations, not only by making school fun, but by also passing on important life lessons. As a musician, he used his talent and leadership to spread the love of God through music. As a husband, he saw his wife as his partner-in-crime and loved her unconditionally. As a father, he was always active in the lives of his children and was a constant source of wisdom and strength for them. His patience, endless knowledge, humility, kindness, and wisdom will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29th from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 11 a.m. The service will be held at Chapel Pointe located at 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville with Pastor Kevin Matthews officiating. A luncheon will follow. A graveside service will be held for immediate family only. For those wishing to donate, your presence will be your gift.
