James   Berkenpas Jr.

Berkenpas, James James “Jim” Berkenpas, Jr., age 88, of Jenison, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Alberdean (Kooiker) Berkenpas; granddaughter, Rebecca Veldman.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Carole and James Bos, Janice and Robert Veldman, James and Beth Berkenpas; grandchildren, Kimberly Fitzgerald, Lisa Ryan, Robbie Veldman, Sarah VanEck; 11 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Kitty Van Drunnen, Richard and Dorothy Berkenpas, Ray and Margaret Berkenpas, Jess DeGroot, Frank and Audrey Berkenpas, Fritz and Betty Berkenpas, Doris and LaRyn DeWitt, John and Sue Berkenpas; A memorial service will be held on Monday 2 pm at Twelfth Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 7581 12th Ave., Jenison with Rev. Mark Bennink officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 1-2 pm at the church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.
