Jacqueline Joan Shepard

Jacqueline “Jackie” Joan Shepard, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at home. Jackie was an avid reader, a lover of animals, and she enjoyed shopping but was very thrifty. She was a “mom” figure to all and known for sending cards to many. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Shepard; grandchildren, Angela Visco, Mark (Stephanie) Visco, David (Heather) Visco, Nicholas John, Richard John; brother, Tom (Evelyn) Boes; nieces and nephews: Julie (Shawn) Green, Steven (Erin) Boes (Colin, Coraline, and Caspian), Joane, Jeane; special neighbors and friends: Wanda, April, Midge, and Bob Yonkers. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Winifred Boes; sister, Betty Boes; and loving canine “protector,” Zoe. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kent County Animal Shelter.
