Jacobus “Jim”  Pipping

Pipping, Jacobus "Jim" Jacobus “Jim” Pipping, age 91, of Jenison, traveled the road home to eternal glory on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 and is now walking with his Lord and Savior.  He was born in the Netherland and immigrated to the United States in 1947.  Jim always had a smile on his face along with a great sense of humor and was known as the unofficial “mailbox greeter” at Sunset Manor.  No matter what the task, he had a strong work ethic.  He served his Lord in many ways at church and had the gift of visitation.  He also loved to garden.  He will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Gerri; their children, Adria and Harry Lambers, Gary and Suanne Pipping; grandchildren,  Marcie and John Britton, Julie and Chris Faulkner, Joy and Todd Eckstein, Bethany Pipping, Paul Lambers, Tracy Pipping; great grandchildren,  Micah, Ethan, and Kendal Britton, Seth, Zoie, Hope, and Liam Eckstein, Brinn, Tia, Justine, and Ryan Faulkner, Maison Pipping; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Augie and Ann Vander Wall, Jean Groot; and extended family members in the Netherlands.  Funeral services will be held 10 am on Saturday at Sunset Manor Chapel, 725 Baldwin St., Jenison with Pastor Rick Vander Wall and Pastor Kent Rottman officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive and 9-10 am on Saturday prior to the service at Sunset Manor. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Manor Benevolent Fund or Lee Street Christian Reformed Church Benevolent Fund.  The family would like to thank the staff at Sunset Manor, Brookcrest Nursing Home, Metro Health Hospital and Faith Hospice for their love and care given to Jim.
