Jacob Poortvliet

Jacob Poortvliet, age 86, of Fulton Manor, entered his eternal home on Sunday, December 4, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Marian “Mary” Poortvliet; children, David Poortvliet, Jackie Sutton, Don and Rose Poortvliet, Randy and Ronda Poortvliet, Cherrie and Tim Medendorp; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Al and Mary Jo Poortvliet; brother-in-law, Lester Beimers; sisters-in-law, Wilma and Don Conkright, Phyllis Wiers, Sharon and Jerry Schippers, Bev Natte. Jacob served his country in the US Navy. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Garrett Eriks officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Resident Assistance Fund at Holland Home-Fulton Manor.
