April 23, 2023

Jack Wendell Siebelink, age 82, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Jack was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Karen, for 62 years. His greatest joy was his family, and he cherished spending time with his son-in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren in the woods. He loved working with his hands, using his carpentry skills on numerous mission trips and volunteering for the Other Way Ministries. He also enjoyed bringing his daughters and eventually his new family members to work sites and teaching them his trade. Jack was always looking for ways to help people with repair needs, often making later visits to check on his clients. He was a 56-year member of Fair Haven Church. To his family, he modeled steadfast faith and a servant’s heart through sincere compassion, humility, and kindness. He will be especially missed for his sense of humor, friendship to many, and his love for and pride in his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Albertha Siebelink; brothers, Howard (Donna) Siebelink, Leslie Siebelink, Kenneth Siebelink, Roger Siebelink; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Siebelink. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen; daughters, Luanne (Stan) Kiste, Rhonda (Tom) Berry, Amy (Rich) Breckon, Jaci (T.J.) Cumings; grandchildren, Andrew (Andrea) Kiste, Samuel (Hannah) Kiste, Kelsey (Garrett) Skrbich, Ryan Breckon, Kyle Berry, Nate Breckon, Emma Grace Breckon, Addison Cumings, Jack Cumings; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth (Don) Nederhood, Dale (Kay) Siebelink, Larry Siebelink, Robert (Tracey) Siebelink; siblings-in-law, Elsie Siebelink, Darlene Siebelink, Annette Siebelink, Diane (Clair) Robinson, David (Linda) Beurkens; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 27, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating. Burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday, April 26, from 4-7 pm as well as an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hand2Hand Ministries.
