Ivan “Ike” Wassink

Ivan “Ike” G. Wassink, age 75, of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 and will celebrate in heaven along with his daughter, Brenda, who preceded him in 1992, the glorious resurrection of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He retired from Thresholds after 25 years of dedicated service. Ike also faithfully served his Lord with his time and talents in many ways at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Arlene (Bouwman); children and grandchildren, Melanie and Mark Wisner (Alan, Matthew, Grant, and Claire); Kara and Todd Huizingh (Elise, Mary, Franklin, Cecelia); brothers, Lee and Dee Wassink, Dave and Barb Wassink; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jane Bouwman, Earl and MaryAnn Bouwman, Beth Eichler, Matt and Mary Meyer, Rich and Jean Schreur; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends and colleagues. A memorial service will be held on Thursday 6:30 PM at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, 1571 Baldwin Street, Jenison with Rev. Len Kuyvenhoven and Rev. Nancy Boote officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Reformed World Missions, Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church Mission Fund, or Faith Hospice.
