
Isaac “Ike” Richard Kuiper, age 85 of Jenison was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 2, 2023. Ike was a kind and loving dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great grandpa and brother who cherished his family. He enjoyed many activities over the years including bowling, golf, camping, and just enjoying the outdoors. Over the years, many great memories were made with family and friends up at Paradise Cove in Sand Lake. You could always find Ike riding his scooter around visiting with people, enjoying time with his “summer family”. Ike retired from Bentler Industries as a Supervisor after many years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; son-in-law, Doug Wedekind; grandson, Mike Gordon; sister, Marie Hoekstra; brother, Bob Kuiper; sister-in-law, Nancy Kuiper; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sue Wedekind, Beth and Dan Butler, Diane and Joe Bryant, Craig and Shar Kuiper; grandchildren, Carey Gordon, Kathy and Jim VanDorp, Jennie and Jay Gipson, Jim Wedekind, Brad and Kelly Butler, Tammy Butler, Jason and Alyssa Butler, Josh Butler, Caitlyn Bryant, Jake Bryant, Brandon and Alaina Kuiper, Benjamin Kuiper, Brady Kuiper, Jonathan Kuiper; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Henry Kuiper, Jake and Shirley Kuiper, Gerald and Bonnie Kuiper, Etta and Bob Van Dyke, Clare and Jan Kuiper, Sharon and Al Brummel, Mary and Art Bleyenberg, John Hoekstra, Betty and Rich Peterson, Linda and Ron Corson; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Georgetown Protestant Reformed Church, 7146 48th Ave., Hudsonville, MI, with Rev. Carl Haak officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
