December 28, 2025

Holly Kooiker, age 64, born on January 13, 1961, passed away peacefully on December 28, surrounded by her children and wrapped in immeasurable love. She entered the arms of Jesus not quite two years after the passing of her devoted husband Tom, whom she loved fiercely and faithfully, and missed dearly. We rejoice in the knowledge that they are reunited again and that their holy love has transcended into an eternal one.

Holly’s life was deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus. She trusted God through both joy and hardship. This faith shaped the way she loved, served, and persevered. Together, Holly and Tom modeled a legacy of faith, devotion, and unconditional love. One that now lives on in their children and is being carried forward into their families. Holly’s faithful legacy is a true testament to the life that she lived.

Holly lived with determination and a heart for people. While raising four children, she returned to school to pursue her calling in medicine, becoming a Physician Assistant through dedication and perseverance. In a moment that perfectly captured her drive (and her ability to juggle everything), Holly graduated as a PA the same year her oldest son graduated from high school.

Those who loved Holly knew her as someone who was always late. But always worth the wait. She cherished time spent around a table playing card games with friends and family, where laughter, friendly competition, and long conversations were guaranteed. She also loved camping with her beloved Hanley CRC group, creating memories filled with campfires, crafts, card games, and treasured friendships.

Holly will be remembered for her strength, her determination, and her ability to make people feel known and cared for. Her legacy lives on through her family, her friendships, in the many lives she touched through her work, and in the countless memories that will continue to bring both tears and smiles. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Holly was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Noor, and her husband of 43 years, Tom. She is survived by her four children: Tommy, Josh (Gwen), Marie (Scott Endres), and Drew (Renee); her grandchildren: Aleasha, Melissah, Trevor, Shealynn, Liam, Delaney, Elin, Declan, Corbin, Landon, and Avery;  father and stepmother, Ed and Luella Noor; her siblings: Tracie (Neil) Swanson, Thom (Gwen) Noor, and Sheila (Matt) Drenth; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Tereasa (Bart) Vander Iest, Kathy (Tim) Hoffman, Sandy (Greg) Klifman, Tim (Kelley) Kooiker, and Jason (Jen) Kooiker; mother-in-law, Darla Kooiker; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11 am at Hanley Christian Reformed Church, O-372 Jackson St. SW, Grandville, with Pastor Bill Flavin officiating.  Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, January 4 from 2-5 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
