Herman Heuker

Herman Heuker, age 92, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Herm spent many years owning his own business as a bricklayer. Having laid many cornerstones, he is now face to face with Jesus, the Cornerstone of his faith. He served as an active member at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church. In Herm and Alice’s retirement, they volunteered their time with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; sisters, Anna and Nelson DeYoung, Nette and Marvin Rozema, Sue and Glenn Rittenger; brothers-in-law, Al Schepers, and Kenneth Agema. Herm will be lovingly remembered by his children, Dave and Mary Heuker, Cheryl and Doug Niemeyer, Jim and Pat Heuker; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Stena Schepers, Bertie Agema; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 2 pm at South Grandville Church, 4130 Wilson Ave SW., with Pastor John Witvliet officiating. Burial at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 1-2 pm prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wycliffe Bible Translators, Faith Hospice, or the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
