Herbert C. Monroe, Jr.

Herbert C. Monroe Jr., age 79, of Wyoming passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 surrounded by his son, grandchildren and their spouses.  He was born January 6, 1946 to the late Herbert Sr. and Vivian Monroe.  Surviving are his two dogs, Brandy Wine and Luna. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Herbert III (Amber) Monroe; daughter, Gay (Arturo) Lopez; grandchildren, Chrystal Whitney, Nichole (Matthew) Troutman, David (Kelsey) Whitney, Dylan (Samantha) Whitney, Hayden Monroe, Daren Monroe; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Roger and Dean; three sisters, Carolyn, Bonnie and Dawn. Herb enjoyed fishing, woodworking, family dinners, card nights and Biggby's Extra Cinnamon Latte.  Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, January 23, 2025  at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. Wyoming with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Burial will be held at Blythefield Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Animal Health Foundation.
