Henry Lucas

Henry Lucas, age 95, of Wyoming, went home to be with Jesus, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; sister, Ethel Lucas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Al and Amy Brouwer. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jim Lucas, Judy and Glen Ensing, Joan and Tom Konyndyk, Jack Lucas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Brian Sommer (Makena, Tate, Kylen), Aaron Ensing, Cody and Kami Konyndyk (Avery, Nolan), Nathan and Nichole Konyndyk (Maylie, Hallie), Nicholas Konyndyk, Nicole and Charles Kowanetz (Charles Henry), Scott Lucas, Sara Lucas; daughter-in-law, Mary Marino; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Andy and Jacqueline Brouwer; several nieces and nephews. Henry was an accountant for Meijer for 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially taking family vacations. Henry was also a charter member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Byron Center Avenue SW with Rev. Mark VanDrunen officiating. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, June 25, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Calvary Christian Reformed Church.
