Henry Kwant

​Henry Kwant, age 79, of Battle Creek, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Henry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the purple heart for wounds that he sustained during the conflict. In 2019, Henry had the opportunity to go on an honor flight to Washington D.C. with other veterans of the Vietnam War to tour the Vietnam War Memorial. After he returned home from the war, Henry worked for AAA insurance company for over 30 years until he retired. He is preceded in death by his brother, Peter Kwant. He will be remembered by his daughter, Kim Kremm; granddaughters, Mara Osgood, Nicole Osgood; siblings, Fred (Belgie) Kwant, Tena (Richard) Wattez, Frits (Clarice) Kwant, Clare (Suzanne) Kwant; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Michigan Veterans Home in Grand Rapids.
