Henry Dehen, age 80, of Grand Rapids, went home on Monday, August 21, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Dehen; brother Robert. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Kay; children, Dan and Deb Dehen, Darcy and Roger Meyer, Debra Sue and Winston Hunt, David and Christina Dehen, Mary and Bill Stewart, Clay and Ann Dehen; grandchildren, Jon, Emily and Sean, Lacey and Andy, Renee, Amanda, Samantha and Mario, Cole, Danny, Gabriel; great grandchildren, Brody, Natalie, Noble, Roman, and one on the way; brother, Craig and Pat, sister, Carol and Kyle; extended family, and friends. Henry was employed at Packaging Corporation of America for 60 years. He loved going to thrift stores, flea markets, and sarcastically rooting for the Tigers to lose. Above all he loved his family and generosity was his nature. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with his grandson Jon Meyer officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home, as well as Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service.
