Henrietta Vander Laan

Henrietta Vander Laan, age 86, of Grandville, was called to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus, on Monday, November 16, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard; two brothers and two sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Daniel R. (Debra) Vander Laan, Debra Lyn (Tony) Engemann, Richard (Lynne McIntyre) Vander Laan Jr., Jeri Lynn (Alan) Landheer, Linda Kay (Brandon) Hildreth; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Blanche (Art) Bradley, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Henrietta was a kind, loving, warm wife, mother, and grandmother. She will always be emembered for her wonderful spaghetti she cooked and her family gobbled down. She enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting, sewing, playing games and the accordion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Shawn DeJong officiating. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the funeral home. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance will be limited. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
