Henny (Ipema) Stuursma, age 76, our beloved mother, amazing grandma and great-grandma, treasured sister, and everyone’s Miss Henny, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 20, 2022. Henny is survived by her three children, Ken (Laurie) Stuursma, Kim (John) Bramer, and Pam (Ben) Krombeen; her grandchildren, Emily (Christopher) Fahrenholz, Jake (Kasey) Stuursma, Cali Stuursma, Jessie (Derek) Stek, Nick (Nicole) Bramer, Nate (Riley) Bramer, Vanessa Krombeen, and Leanne Krombeen; great-grandchildren, Laykin and Beau Fahrenholz, Madelyn Stek, and Everly Bramer; sister, Ginny (Dave) Hoekstra; and brother, Bill (Louise) Ypema. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Ann and Jacob Ipema. Henny’s life was filled with faith and joy, which she gave as much as she received. She especially loved children, as evidenced by her work at Maple Tree Preschool and as a Bible story teacher to countless kids. She will be missed by all who knew her, but we have the assurance we will see her again because of her steadfast faith in Jesus. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Private family burial will take place at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 9-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you pass down the advice she gave to all those she loved, “Do your best and God will take care of the rest”. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds, 12253 Lakeshore Dr., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
