Helen   Veneklasen

Veneklasen, Helen Helen Veneklasen, age 80, of Grandville, was called home to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 12, 2014.  Helen had a deep faith in Christ and was happy to share her faith with anyone.  Her favorite verse was “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV.  Helen had a spunky and sparkly personality.  She was creative, funny, thoughtful, a savvy business woman, and passed on her deal-finding shopping skills to her daughters and granddaughters.  Her favorite days were spent on the beaches with her friends and family, and shopping with her daughters.  She was a joy to all who knew her.  Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Phillip Veneklasen; her daughter, Cherie Bolt; her parents, Arthur and Winifred Vos; and her brothers, Wes, Larry, Hank, and Art Vos. She is survived by her daughters, Robin (Dave) Huitema, Cindi (Tim) Jeltema; son, Bill (Jane) Veneklasen; son-in-law, Darryl Bolt; grandchildren, Dana, Kylie, Jesslyn, Phillip, Melissa, John, Marie, Elizabeth, Adam, Jordyn, Paul, Silas; and 7 great-grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 25 at 3:00 PM at Hanley Christian Reformed Church, 0-372 Jackson, Grandville with Rev. Douglas Fauble officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, July 25 from 2-3 PM prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.
