Helen Margaret Klinkner

​Helen Margaret Klinkner, age 93, of Byron Center, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She was a talented singer and enjoyed singing in the church choir as well as the Mother Singers group. Helen was proud of her Swedish heritage. She will be remembered by many for her baking of the best snickerdoodles and Swedish breads. Sewing and crafting were some of Helen’s favorite pastimes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Johnson. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Wayne; children, Mike (Steffanie) Klinkner, Peter (Su) Klinkner, Laura Phenix; grandchildren: Ben, Mikey, Sarah, Nick, Lisa, Casey, Holly; and many great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday August 13, 2023 for a memorial gathering at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
