Scott Roberts

Scott Noel Roberts never met a stranger he couldn't befriend, a call for help he wouldn't answer, or a situation he couldn't improve with a joke. Scott, age 65, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Scott was a loving father, brother, and uncle. He was a true social butterfly who loved being around people, sharing stories and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Scott was a natural conversationalist, and it was rare to find him in a quiet moment. He had a passion for art, particularly pencil drawing and portraits, and enjoyed expressing his creativity through his work. Scott was also an animal lover who had a special place in his heart for his pets. Scott's final day was spent enjoying an early Father’s Day outing with his daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Roberts; sister, Ellen Kay Roberts; nephew, Chad Newman; and niece, Chloe Roberts. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Emily Roberts, Matthew Roberts; siblings, Dennis and Sherrie Roberts, Lu and Tim Wood, Patrick Roberts, Claudia Roberts, Sheila and Bob Miles, Mark Roberts, Darren Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Carson City Fellowship Center, 10204 E Carson City Rd, Carson City, MI 48811. The family will greet guests from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Center prior to the service. Please join the family for a meal immediately following the service.
