
Harold Joseph Pawlik, age 90, of Wyoming, MI, passed away and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was the son of the late John and Pauline (Golen) Pawlik. Harold was born on March 15, 1928 in Saginaw, MI. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. He retired from C & O Railroad after 35 years of faithful service as a diesel electrician. Harold served his church and community with his time and talents in various ways for many years. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Theresa, Julie, Vicki, and Irene; brothers, Hank and Ted; and sister-in-law, Marie Geno. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Fran (Gonder) Pawlik; children, Greg and Ilene Pawlik, Edee Pawlik, Sidney and Will Oxx, Jenny and Michael Ostin, Vivian and David Miller, Nita and Jeff Freeman; 10 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Chet and Pat Pawlik, Ben and Zita Pawlik; brother-in-law, Chester Geno; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pawlik; many loving nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1630 Godfrey Ave SW, Wyoming, with Fr. Steven Dudek presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-7:30 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, where a Rosary service will begin at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Church, Spectrum Health Hospice, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
