Harold David Millard

Harold David Millard, age 69 of Newaygo, joined our Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He passed away at home in the arms of the love of his life and wife of 47 years, Susan Millard.  Harold was born August 30, 1946 in Newberry, MI, the youngest child of David and Betty Millard. Harold was a hard-working devoted husband and father; he spent much of his time and effort in creating special memories and providing for his family. Harold’s career was 30 years of dedicated service with the State of Michigan as a Social Worker.   He was passionate about his work with elderly and was very caring and compassionate with his clients.  He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Millard; his sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Vicki Millard, Chad and Amy Millard; grandchildren, Collin Millard, Hannah Millard, Sam Millard, Zachary Smith, Allen Smith and Kyleigh Conley; sister, Carol Millard.  Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 am at Spring Valley Church, 5947 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, with Pastor Rob Wondergem officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale.
