Harold Bolt

Harold Stanford Bolt, age 89, of Jenison, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, in the comfort of his own home with family present.

Harold had a remarkable sense of humor with a quick wit, a sharp eye for the lighter side of life, and an endless supply of stories. He kept family and friends smiling through every season. Painting was one of Harold’s great passions and he took a specific interest in painting all of nature’s beauty. Harold also found immense joy in fishing. Whether it was a quiet morning by the water’s edge or a day spent with loved ones telling tall tales, he cherished the peace, patience, and companionship that came with casting a line. He frequently spoke of past times, family, and loved sharing his knowledge of all the waterways throughout Northern Michigan. For many years Harold worked as a lab technician, a role suited to his sharp mind, steady hands, and dedication to precision. Above all, Harold will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a creative spirit, and someone who made life richer simply by being present.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ivanrest Church Outreach Programs in honor of his memory.
