Guy R. McGowan

Guy R. McGowan, age 79, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Thelma McGowan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cheryl; brothers, Lowell (Sandy) McGowan, Gary and Denise McGowan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Guy was an avid newspaper reader, enjoyed deer hunting and politics. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Interment Lakeside Cemetery in Caledonia, MI.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Saturday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.
