Grace Vegter

Grace Vegter, age 95, of Wyoming, was called to rest on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Grace was a loving sister and aunt who cherished her nieces and nephews. She was funny, smart, and had a great talent for design and style. Grace loved to laugh, shop, travel, and read her mystery books. In her later years, she loved the special phone calls with her brother and sister who meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Christina Vegter; brother, Henry and Marie Vegter; brother-in-law, Thomas Smith Jr.; and niece, Nancy Vegter. She is survived by her sister, Theresa C. Smith; brother, George Jr. and Marilyn Vegter; and her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Grandville Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Memorial contributions in Grace’s honor may be made to Guiding Light or Interim Hospice. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Royal Atrium Inn, The Laurels of Hudsonville, and especially the nurses with Interim Hospice for the wonderful care given to Grace.
