Grace   Roon

Roon, Grace ROON:  Grace E. Roon, age 88, of Rusk, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 24, 2012.  She was known to all as Aunt Grace.  Along with being an avid crocheter and wonderful cook, she loved to garden and enjoyed feeding the birds.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary (Hoek) Roon; brothers:  Peter Jay Roon, Russell Lee Roon; brother-in-law, George Smart. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Muriel Smart of Hamilton; sisters-in-law:  Judy Roon, Betty Roon-Jacobs; nieces and nephews:  Richard (Wendy) Roon, Debra Lush, Jane (Randy) Klingenberg, Tom (Janet) Smart, Amy (Rick) Hansen, Ronda (Zachary) Ruf, James (Traci) Roon, Steve (Lynnea) Roon, Jennifer (Tom) Vollmer; many great nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 am at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10354 92nd Ave., Allendale, with Rev. Mark Neymeiyer officiating.  Interment Rusk Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 6-8 pm at the church and Tuesday from 10-11 at church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
