Grace Marie Lemire

Grace Marie Lemire, age 89, of Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.  Grace was born on Beaver Island and a member of the Beaver Island Club in Grand Rapids for many years to support the islanders.  She lived with her family in Chicago and worked at the FBI.  She later moved to Grand Rapids to be with her husband, whom she met on the car ferry over Lake Michigan.  She was a member of St. John Vianney for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lemire; her brothers and sisters and one cat, Whitney.  She will be lovingly remembered by her 2 sons: Art (Pam) Lemire, Al (Jenny) Lemire; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.   The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Bishop Hills Assisted Living and Faith Hospice for their loving care of Grace.
