Gordon L. Bordewyk

Gordon Lee Bordewyk, aged 89, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, February 20, 2017. Gord worked at Keebler Company (originally Hekman Biscuit Company) in many capacities for his entire career. He loved his God, his family, and his golf (in that order). He is survived by Sylvia, his wife of 66 years; his children, Gordon Jr. (Karen), Laura (Thomas) Wiersma, Jesslyn (Walter) DeBoer. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Rachel Bordewyk Katie Oland, David Bordewyk, Natalie Wiersma, Dennis DeBoer Philip DeBoer, Marissa DeBoer, along with six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 700 Ethel SE on Friday, February 24, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rebecca Jordan Heys officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
