Gloria Parra

Gloria Parra age 62, of Grand Rapids passed away to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Gloria was faithfully devoted to her church and her family. She was hardworking and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, reading, watching Turkish soap operas, watering her plants, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and being in nature. She cherished her family deeply, was very selfless, and always put their needs first. Gloria loved bringing everyone together for a meal and maintained a positive attitude despite the challenges she faced in life.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Juana Loredo; son, Noe Parra; father, Jose Loredo. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 46 years, Pedro Parra Sr.; children, Leonardo Parra and Lucy Ramos, Pedro Parra Jr. and Adriana Parra, Gloria I. Parra, Horacio and Genesis Parra; grandchildren, Gabi Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez, Jacqui Rodriguez, Arya Thome, Valentin Parra, Issac Parra, Noemi Parra, Lyla Salgado, Jeiry Salgado, Jose Salgado, Liam Parra, Kevin Doan, Jennifer Doan, Britney Doan, Gabi Zavala, Arlyne Parra, Elijah Parra; mother, Irene Valdez Ochoa; siblings, Lilia Loredo, Carlos Loredo, Juan Loredo, Rosalba Perez, Yolanda Gutierrez, Ruby Loredo, many other relatives, and friends. 

Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, February 28 at Holy Name of Jesus, 1048 Chicago Dr, Wyoming with Rev. Charlie Brown presiding. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming.

Gloria Parra, de 62 años y residente de Grand Rapids, falleció para estar con el Señor el martes 24 de febrero de 2026. Gloria era una fiel devota de su iglesia y su familia. Era trabajadora y disfrutaba tejer, hacer crochet, cocinar, leer, ver telenovelas turcas, regar sus plantas, la jardinería, pasar tiempo con sus nietos y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. Apreciaba profundamente a su familia, era muy desinteresada y siempre priorizaba sus necesidades. A Gloria le encantaba reunir a todos para comer y mantuvo una actitud positiva a pesar de los desafíos que enfrentó en la vida.

Le precedieron en la muerte su hermana, Juana Loredo; hijo, Noé Parra; padre, José Loredo. Será recordada con cariño por su devoto esposo, de 46 años, Pedro Parra Sr.; hijos, Leonardo Parra y Lucy Ramos, Pedro Parra Jr. y Adriana Parra, Gloria I. Parra, Horacio y Génesis Parra; nietos, Gabi Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez, Jacqui Rodriguez, Arya Thome, Valentin Parra, Issac Parra, Noemi Parra, Lyla Salgado, Jeiry Salgado, Jose Salgado, Liam Parra, Kevin Doan, Jennifer Doan, Britney Doan, Gabi Zavala, Arlyne Parra, Elijah Parra; madre, Irene Valdez Ochoa; hermanos, Lilia Loredo, Carlos Loredo, Juan Loredo, Rosalba Pérez, Yolanda Gutiérrez, Ruby Loredo, muchos familiares y amigos.

El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo a la 1:30 p.m. del sábado 28 de febrero en Holy Name of Jesus, 1048 Chicago Dr, Wyoming, presidido por el reverendo Charlie Brown. El entierro se realizará en el cementerio Chapel Hill. Los familiares y amigos podrán reunirse con la familia el viernes de 4-7pm Funeraria Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, ubicada en 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming.
